Learn More About Each Wool Type
Thanks to its natural durability, wool is known for its long lifespan. Fibres can bend up to 20,000 times before breaking (as a comparison, cotton can only bend 3,000 times). This got us thinking, how can we take advantage of this amazing feature, especially since recycling wool can be a challenge as the fibres are often too short to respin? Our solution is to blend recycled wool with longer mixed fibres saved from landfill to create a soft and durable yarn. Woven in a dense twill weave and brushed for texture, recycled wool gives you all the benefits of wool, in a sustainable blanket. What’s more, they are even machine washable.

Lambswool is the highest quality sheep’s wool. It’s gathered from a lamb’s first shearing, meaning the fibres are smoother, stronger and hold more elasticity than any other wool. The unique crimps in the individual strands generate air pockets that retain heat while repelling moisture, keeping you warm when you’re cool, and cool when you’re warm. Along with being a naturally insulating, breathable and hypoallergenic textile, it’s beautifully soft. Doesn’t get much better than that. Led by design, our lambswool collection seeks to merge our Scottish roots with contemporary living through applying modern colours to traditional weaving techniques.

The definition of luxury, Cashmere is traditionally combed from the super soft undercoat of the Cashmere goat. The downy wool fibres are then sorted by hand from the goat’s protective outer layer. Cashmere is finer, stronger, lighter, and approximately three times more insulating than sheep's wool. And did we mention soft? So, so soft. Considerately curated and carefully woven, our cashmere collection is a perfect mix of tradition and timelessness.
